The Dunedin Youth Orchestra
Spring Chamber Music Weekend - Open to all!
Holy Cross College Mosgiel - 23-25 September 2005
The Spring Chamber Music Weekend is an opportunity for instrumentalists to say goodbye to winter, by joining together and playing chamber music in pleasant and comfortable surroundings.
The music will be rehearsed under the guidance of our exceptional tutors. Tutors for string and wind players are already provided for, but brass players are most welcome to apply and, if interest proves sufficient, appropriate tutors will be arranged.
Each player will be organised into two groups, A and B, where they play music selected from a range of classical and New Zealand composers. If you have people with whom you would like to play, please let us know their nates and instruments, and we will do our best to accommodate.
Our guest speaker this year will be local bassonnist Gordon Skinner.
A master class will be held by Sydney Manowitz.
